Resident Permit Parking: There’s a request for resident-only parking at 59 Coral Street. This will go to the Parking Committee for discussion.
Boards and Commissions: The City Manager has appointed Bwann Gwann to the Mayor Thomas J. Early Scholarship Committee; Pavel Terpelets to the Elder Affairs Commission; Ryan Anger to the Off-Street Parking Board; and reappointed Frances Anthes and Chareese Allen to the Board of Health. The Council will vote whether to approve the appointment of Kate Norton to the Advisory Committee on the Status of Women.
Constables: The Manager has appointed David Hoffman as a constable.
Ecotarium Mural: This year is the bicentennial of Worcester’s Ecotarium. The Council will vote to approve them installing a 200-tile mural/mosaic.
Tax Bill Delays: The city is supposed to mail Q3 tax bills before January 1. They got out personal property tax bills on time, but the vendor they use for real estate tax bills didn’t get those out until January 6. Therefore, they are required to extend the due date for Q3 taxes until May 1. They don’t think there will be “significant financial or operational impact.”
