The City Council meeting is Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The agenda is here.
This week: This is one of those weeks where there’s nothing on the Council agenda that would meet my usual standard for a notable item. There are requests for reports and things like that, but not too many concrete proposals. I’ve written up three items just to keep in practice.

Photos of Politicians: Maria Montano suggests the city should have photos of all City Council and School Committee members hanging “in all municipal, school, and administrative buildings to bring representation, awareness, and engagement in our municipal government and school electoral process.”
Moving the Rogers-Kennedy Memorial: Councilor Bergman suggests that we move the statue of pioneers at Park and Highland a few feet to a slightly more visible spot.
Zoning: The Planning Board has approved the request to make 47 Hermon Street part of the Adaptive Reuse Overlay District in that part of Main South. This will go to the Economic Development Committee for discussion. The AROD allows flexibility around zoning to encourage rehabbing old factory buildings and the like.
